Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
An abdominoplasty, also known as tummy tuck, is the surgical procedure designed to firm and smooth the abdomen. This cosmetic procedure removes excess fat and loose skin from the abdomen and tightens the abdominal wall. The result is a flatter, tighter abdominal profile.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes deposits of excess fat from specific areas of the body, face or neck. Liposuction can be used to slim the hips and thighs, flatten the abdomen, shape the calves and ankles or eliminate a double chin.

I started my research online just googling “tummy tuck and Plastic Surgeon in Atlanta, GA”. After reviewing multiple websites, doctors and procedures in Atlanta I honestly was not impressed. So, I decided to aim my search to my local area and I found a doctor that peaked my interest. I’ve been “looking” for years, but now I’m researching. In my opinion this is not a decision that happens overnight, you have to do your research.
As mentioned in this video, I frequently visit:

Real Self is a website to find doctors, get information and read/see actual experiences and reviews (good/bad) of people just like us interested in plastic surgery.

1. Finding a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon is not hard. Once you find who you are interested in, search their name. There are many websites that will do the search for you.

This is an important step, because a licensed medical doctor, can “technically” perform any procedure whether they are not specialized in the area. In my research, I have found that it’s possible for an OBGYN doctor, an Oral Surgeon, Dermatologist etc. perform procedures out of their spectrum. For example: SmartLipo. This is not against the law, but I don’t know about you, I don’t want to go to an oral surgeon (teeth) for liposuction. For new teeth, yes! LOL. Going to a professional with years of experience would be the better choice.

Also, pictures are key too! If you can’t see the work, then that should worry you. Some PS have pictures via their websites or in their office. Or at the least, check out www.realself.com and look at your PS’s patient reviews pictures.

Lastly, go to your state medical board website to lookup any derogatory disciplinary actions and to verify qualifications of any medical licensed professional.

2. Liposuction alone, will not help with the loose skin I have surrounding my abdomen. Yes, it can help areas that aren’t loose for contouring. Exercise will not help either. Yes I can loose fat, and gain stronger muscles, but my skin won’t tighten.
Smart Lipo, is definitely not an option either. As my PS explained to me, it would be a waste of my money. I would still be unhappy because the skin would be hanging even more. Like I mentioned earlier Smart Lipo can be performed by an eye doctor. LOL. NO THANKS!

3. I forgot to mention in the video, I’m afraid of the pain/recovery. From what the PS said and all the personal reviews I’ve read, the worst days are the first two. Of course, you are prescribed pain medicine and guidelines for after the surgery. I’ve just never been under in that fashion, so I’m nervous. Dr. Cochran was reassuring of the recovery time, but I do realize everyone is different.

  1. I think you look so amazing! I know I have already commented on your video previously, but when I see it I truly am so inspired. I'm so sorry about your surgeon… obviously he was πŸ’― on the money. Sorry to hear…you have some of the most natural looking results I have ever seen!! I hope to be following in your footsteps within a year or less. I definitely know what you mean about trying to describe the feeling of being numb, but still have some feeling. I had double knee replacement surgery and it's been about one & a half years. All those nerves get cut, and some of that feeling has come back, but not entirely. Unless you've been there it's nearly impossible to explain the sensation. Lol! ☺️ I trust you're doing well and still enjoying your beautiful results! Many blessings to you and yours!!! β™₯οΈπŸ™

  4. If you get liposuction done and you don't change your lifestyle which made you fat, the tummy will return very quickly. It happened to my best friend. He was fatter than before within a month after the operation.

  5. I'm just coming across this video and you look beautiful I can tell you as a tip that cocoa butter is good but it's better if you have written an egg cream 0.1% and you use it on your scar could have about a week to maybe three weeks after surgery but now in your case you don't have to worry about that but if you still concerned just use Retin-A because it does return to scan back to his normal texture you naturally had a small waist so it really made the tummy tuck look very natural as opposed to not natural hint for you is if you take a lot of shea butter mixed with cocoa butter and wrap it and Saran wrap it makes it being smooth smooth ER and the reason why people ask you about keeping core 6 on because it shrinks it in even smaller that's the trick to it but what you've done looks good happy 2020 be blessedπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ€”πŸΈπŸΆπŸ·πŸΉπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ’ŽπŸ’ŽπŸ’ŽπŸ’¨πŸ’«πŸ–€πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ–€πŸ’–πŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’—πŸ–€
