  1. Ok, so I'm white but honestly black people's hair is literally the most gorgeous and awesome thing I've ever seen. Like seriously, I know it's got to be hard to take care of but damn! It looks good! You guys are beautiful, inside and out. Don't let anyone change who you are, and there are millions of other people who feel the same way, from all different races.

  2. Why white people were cruel to black people? I don't understand how a human can be like this. I love them so much black women are so beautefull. And black men are kind and handsome. I think they should appreaciate themselves more because they are miracle of God God gave them perfect body to live in Hot places like Africa . They are amazing i know that god created all of us perfect for our living place. But in black people i think this is another level love you all💗💖💜

  3. I’m a nbpoc so I don’t have much say in this but idk the last quote about “ I am not my hair and I am not my skin” kind of idk contradicts the whole video which is about the history and importance of hair in the black community. I mean whether you like it or not there’s a lot of history tied to skin colour and hair texture so just saying your not that kind of dismisses your ancestory does it not? Shouldn’t it be something more like “ I am not JUST my hair and I am not JUST my skin” is there anyone else who feels this way?

  4. I hate racists, but wouldn't there be a great deal of bi-sexuality in the black community since they all look alike, both women and men? Oh, and does anyone have any advice on how I can have a black friend because blacks seem to be "down with it" and cool.

  5. The video stopped short.
    When it got to
    "Present Day", it should have:
    1. Talked about the
    Natural Hair Movement
    2. Said that the Majority of Black Women wear weaves & wigs the Majority of the Time.

With these additions, this video would have been a GOOD Documentary.

  6. Did yall really walk viewers through an entire journey of what black hair meant to our ancestors, how it was (and is) stigmatized, how it reflects evolutuon of the black American experience and reflects our cultural pride; only to end with the reflective song quote, "I am not my hair"?

That comes off as disrespectful. It's a reflection of who I am. If you're proud of something you wouldn't deflect from it especially if it is an important element of who you are.

    Redo this

  7. The worst was perm and wet look i remember women had flies on their heads from chemical burns on the scalp. One time i went for a perm just after a few days of shampoo ing my hair and i got wounds and hair loss almost went bald those days.

  8. Istg I sometimes can't stand people. Black people have a video about them and there's always people who make a big deal about it. If you can't stand seeing "Black people are so beautiful" then just leave. There's really no reason to make a problem out of a comment 🙄

  9. I don't see what the problem is that people have with black people wearing weaves or perming their hair saying that we're trying to look like other cultures, when black people's natural hair is just a flat iron away from being straight. Black people can straighten their hair and other races can curl their hair so I don't see much difference.

  10. one thing i remember i think my dad actually had to have his hair cut for a school or something
the thing slaves had have to their indetity and hair, people were terrible those days -.-

  11. Blacks changing their hair texture is the absolute worst. Seriously, i would hige anything to have the thickness and dens3 of hair that they have. I know what heavy hair fall is like and i adore african hair.

  12. Slavering was horrible…. No words to even disribe enough how I feel sad about it…. Same as Hitler and his power over other raise….
U guys embrace your black hair and skin, u are beautiful and many many white females would love to be like u….
Look how the industry of San batting started and still is strong.

  13. You see black women…we have been through so much and now it is time to rock our hair that defies gravity and sits on our heads like crowns. There is no reason in the world why you should feel ashamed of your show stopping hair😊 God bless all my melanated queens and i hope you all find that your black is beautiful. Bless you my sisters✊🏾❤🖤💚👑👑👑

  14. NOT all black women went through tough hair or wig wearing. I see SOME black women wonan wearing long obviously fake wigs during the summer all I can fo is shake my head, ho natural for those who don't have ascalp condition the wearing wigs is not a necessity.

  15. The problem with my hair is that I always thought my hair was naturally straight until yesterday I was told that I had kinky curly hair and that was my natural hair and my hair was relaxed because with my kinky hair it was hard to comb and then my hair would fall off so basically but I never knew I used a relaxer when I washed my hair I never knew what I was using was a relaxer because I never liked them so now basically I need to cut of my hair or I need to grow out my hair so it can be natural how long will that take idk😔
