We extended our stay in Mali 🇲🇱 with a second savory dish called Tigadegena!

Also called Maafe or Domoda, Tigadegena is a stew or sauce that is a staple food in Western Africa. It originates from the Mandinka and Bambara people of Mali. Maafe has also become a popular dish across West Africa in countries like Senegal, Gambia and Cameroon. It can be cooked from lamb, beef, chicken, or without meat.
